Tradition & transparency

Sources behind the readings

Validation status: partially cross-checked, not classically certified. This app combines a modern astronomical engine, selected Jyotisha conventions and original reflective writing. These references establish traditional context; they do not verify every rule or prediction.

Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra
Chapter 3: grahas and their relationships; chapter 18: the seventh house. Sanskrit text with online translation, traditionally attributed to Parashara. Cross-checked for planetary relationships and the partnership framework. The app does not implement the full conditions involving aspects, strength, divisional charts or timing. Chapter numbering can differ between editions.
Brihat Jataka, Varahamihira
Chapter 16, verses 1-5: Moon in the Nakshatras. Sanskrit and English translation consulted to confirm the historical Nakshatra-reading framework. Our portraits, work themes, growth advice and relationship questions are modern adaptations, not translations of these verses. Individual deity, emblem and classification entries are not all source-verified.
Ashtakoota matching: incomplete source audit
The eight-factor, 36-point framework is tradition-derived, but this app's Vashya, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana and Bhakoot handling includes shortcuts. It is not a verse-by-verse implementation of a named classical edition. Supplementary Rajju, Vedha and Stree Deergha tables also need independent verification. Do not use this score as a marriage approval or rejection.
Astronomy Engine 2.1.19: modern computation
Don Cross's Astronomy Engine supplies astronomical positions, not astrological interpretations. App conventions: approximate Lahiri-style ayanamsa, Whole Sign houses and mean lunar nodes. Birthplace coordinates and the historical UTC offset are entered manually. These calculations are not taken directly from an ancient astronomical treatise.
What remains unverified?

The four named pada personality tones, Nakshatra-element mappings and generated couple narratives are editorial models, not established classical formulas. Matching tables, exception rules and numerical agreement with an independent reference ephemeris need further validation. No claim is made that a traditional attribution proves a prediction about personality, health, wealth or marriage.
